A day on the green, to support The Stroke Association

In September, Barco entered the Golf Challenge hosted by the RAD foundation at the Crowne Plaza Five Lakes Resort near Colchester - home to two of the best golf courses in Essex. Why golf? Well, every year, the staff at RAD Magazine ? a leading trade journal for medical imaging and radiotherapy professionals in the UK ? organize a golf tournament to raise funds for a good cause. This year, the day was in aid of The Stroke Association. Committed to healthcare as we are, we were happy to be the official event sponsor and sponsor the golf balls.

   

Fund-raising
Barco’s Scott Wilson, Sales Manager Healthcare UK & Ireland, is a pretty good golfer, so his team did well on the fairway. Yet their results are, of course, much less important than the over 6,000 pounds the RAD foundation raised for The Stroke Association.

Each year, strokes affect 150,000 people in the UK alone, killing 53,000. As an expert in diagnostic display solutions, we were delighted to be able to support this fund-raising event.
