AUTOCOMP MANAGEMENT confirms its continuing cooperation with Barco by ordering new projectors to be integrated into training simulators for the Polish Ministry of Defence
Established by scientists from the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin, Poland, AUTOCOMP MANAGEMENT provides educational facilities, military operations and industrial players with high-tech automation and control systems, simulators and training solutions. The company has a long history of collaborating with Barco Fredrikstad. “Training in a simulated environment requires extremely accurate, high-quality visuals. That’s why we resolutely choose high-performing Barco projectors. In addition to high image quality, they ensure the ruggedness and reliability our simulators require,” says Roman Haberek, Executive Director at AUTOCOMP MANAGEMENT.
100 + 65 Barco projectors
As a trusted supplier to the Polish Ministry of Defence, AUTOCOMP MANAGEMENT purchased 100 Barco F22 projectors over the past couple of years that were integrated into a number of training simulators. The new order consists of a total of 65 Barco projectors, including 34 F22, 7 F50 and 24 F12 units. The F50 projectors, which are equipped with EN57 ultra-short throw lenses, will generate realistic, high-resolution imaging in the new training system “SNIEZNIK” – a stationary system that AUTOCOMP MANAGEMENT designed for training the practicing Armed Forces.
Razor-sharp images, short-throw ratio
The Barco F50 single-chip DLP® projector that AUTOCOMP selected for the SNIEZNIK simulator combines native WQXGA resolution with a compact and rugged design. By adding the EN57 lens, the F50 projector features the world’s shortest throw ratio (0.28:1), allowing users to shorten their projection distance by 62%.
Long-term partnership is a win-win
“Simulation and synthetic training is extremely important to the Armed Forces. Although it will never fully replace live training, the ability to practice and train in highly-realistic but safe environments is vital and can help save lives. We are proud to have been AUTOCOMP MANAGEMENT’s trusted visualization partner for the past five years. As we develop new solutions, we can help AUTOCOMP improve the performance of its training tools, and their input and feedback is useful to us in gaining a comprehensive understanding of the simulation business,” says Pawel Kulik, Business Development Manager CEE for Barco.
