The Great Hall of The People Chooses Christie CP Series Digital Cinema Projectors

Cine Asia/HONG KONG – (December 8, 2011) – Christie®, a global leader in digital cinema projection, announced today that it will soon deploy its CP series digital cinema projectors in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, China.

According to Frank Xiao, general manager, Christie China, the Great Hall of the People has inked an agreement with Christie to install two Christie CP series digital cinema projectors in one of its auditoriums. Installation of the projectors is slated to begin as early as 2012.

“The Great Hall of the People is one of the most important and prestigious government buildings in China. Christie is extremely honored to be associated with such an exalted organization and even more honored that our latest CP series digital cinema projectors have been selected for this momentous deployment. We are immensely pleased that the Great Hall of the People has supported Christie all these years,” said Lin Yu, vice president, Christie Asia Pacific.

The Great Hall of the People, located on the western side of Tiananmen Square, in Beijing, is the political hub of China and home to the National People’s Congress and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, held annually in March. It is also used for ceremonial events and in recent years, this historic venue has hosted several non-political conventions and concerts.
