Barco - Finanz Informatik embraces OpSpace: “We are impressed”
Posted on Friday, January 13, 2017

Exactly one year ago, we launched our groundbreaking OpSpace operator solution. Curious how it is faring? Well, it is finding its way to control rooms around the world. First see, then believe? Check out our first customer story! In October 2016, German IT services provider Finanz Informatik equipped its new control center with 28 OpSpace workspace solutions. “It is the perfect match,” says Finanz’s Mathias Meyer.

Efficiency, ergonomics and collaboration
With IT monitoring services playing an increasingly crucial role in its solutions offering, Finanz Informatik decided to build a new Operations Control Center in 2016. Efficiency was a key criterion when designing the new control rooms “After all, our operators have to monitor increasingly complex systems and budgets are tight,” Mathias Meyer, project manager, explained. "So we wanted a solution that would ensure efficiency, ergonomics, collaboration and OT/IT integration. Barco’s OpSpace was the perfect match.”

Future-proof and scalable

“We discovered Barco’s OpSpace and were really impressed,” Ulrich Reichelt, control room department manager continued. “The innovative technology as well as its future-proof and scalable system architecture, which even integrates with video walls in the main control rooms, won us over.”

Finanz Informatik equipped 28 workplaces with our OpSpace solution, making it easier for operators to manage the 337,000 computers, 24,000 cash points and 27,000 servers of the 403 saving banks that need monitoring.
